AI Engineer - £70k-£90k - Fully Remote

Neurodiversity affects 1 in 5 people.

That's nearly 1.6 billion individuals who experience the world differently.

We're working with a company redefining how AI can empower them—creating innovative tools that personalise learning and work environments, helping them thrive.

We're working with a company revolutionising neurodiversity in education and employment.

Their platform has already transformed learning. Now, they're expanding into the workplace and need an AI Engineer to make it happen.

This is your chance to build LLMs, NLP models, knowledge graphs, and chatbots in a fast-moving, low-red-tape environment.

You'll work with data from hundreds of thousands of brain scans to create AI that personalises experiences, unlocks potential, and increases productivity.

Your models won't just predict. They'll change lives.

Why this role?

  • Make an impact – Help neurodiverse individuals succeed.

  • AI-first future – Drive this company's shift from data to AI.

  • Cutting-edge tech – Work with LLMs, NLP, and knowledge graphs.

  • Autonomy – Your ideas matter. This is a chance to shape AI from the ground up.

  • No red tape – No layers of approval or endless meetings. You'll have the freedom to experiment, innovate, and move fast.

Perks

  • Share options – Be part of their success.

  • Flexible hours – Work when you work best.

  • Paid study & volunteer days – Learn and give back.

  • Well-being days & coaching – Prioritising mental health.

  • Enhanced parental leave – Support for your family.

  • Life insurance, dental & optical cashback – Coverage that counts.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and deploying LLMs, NLP models, and ML algorithms.

  • Working with knowledge graphs, embeddings, and AI architectures.

  • Designing scalable AI pipelines with CI/CD and MLOps best practices.

  • Developing and optimising REST APIs and microservices.

  • Exploring and implementing the latest AI innovations.

Who you'll be doing it for

  • A company that has built an EdTech platform for neurodiversity.

  • A certified B Corp that has completed Series A funding and is preparing for Series B.

  • A culture that's collaborative, fast-paced, friendly, and ambitious.

  • A team driven by their values: People First, Impactful Equality, Pioneering, Excellence, and Evidence-Based.

Who you'll work with

  • A collaborative, fast-moving team reporting to the Head of Data & AI.

  • You'll be the first AI Engineer, setting the foundation for what's to come.

Who should apply?

We're looking for an AI Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in data and ML, but you should apply if you have relevant experience as an ML Engineer.

Start-up experience is beneficial but not mandatory. They would consider you if you work for a large organisation as well.

This position would be an excellent fit for those who have worked on text-based AI, NLP, sentiment analysis, or classification.

Let's discuss the role even if you don't check every box. The best candidates aren't always the most obvious ones.
