A software company that were set up in 2012 that operate in the energy sector and have grown to 35 employees.

They doubled their revenue last year so they’re looking to grow their team and invest in new technologies.

Customers of theirs include Shell, BP and Wood Group.

They have thousands of users which brings them in six figures a month in recurring revenue.

The department you’d be joining is 12 in size and includes graphic designs, UX professionals, testers, devs and data analysts.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the business to meet defined SLAs ensuring incidents and problems are resolved quickly and safely.
  • Support & maintain the smooth running of production and development environments.
  • Support the documentation and deployment of applications and systems.
  • Optimise application and infrastructure for speed and scalability.
  • Provide constructive feedback to teammates.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
  • Develop support documentation and play books.
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software tools and automation.
  • Participate in requirements analysis


Required experience

  • Previous experience proving support to internal or external customers.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident/problem management.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software and platform problems
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • Supported and maintained applications communicating using RestAPI’s and other data exchange mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of DevOps processes, including test automation and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience of debugging code and SQL queries.
  • Document processes and tools, sharing knowledge with wider teams
  • Verify & deploy programs and systems.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong prioritisation & organisational skills
